Τελικά / επιτέλους

I would like please to have some explanation about the usage of these two words τελικά και επιτέλους . 

Are they the same?? some examples please.

Τελικά = finally, eventually, after all, in the end.

examples:

Τελικά αποφάσισε να πάει διακοπές στην Κρήτη.  Finally he decided to go for vacation in Crete.

Τελικά βρήκες καπέλο να φορέσεις?  Did you finally find a hat to wear?

Ο πατέρας έδωσε τελικά τη συγκατάθεσή του για το γάμο.  After all, the father gave his consent to the marriage.

Επιτέλους = at last.

examples:

Επιτέλους φτάσαμε στην Κρήτη.  At last, we arrived to Crete.

Αποφάσισε επιτέλους που θέλεις να πάμε.  Βαρέθηκα να περιμένω. = At last, decide where you want us to go.  I am tired of waiting.

Επιτέλους indicates a longer period of waiting or delay that comes to a pleasant end.  You may say:

Αν και διάβασε πολύ, τελικά δε κατάφερε να περάσει τις εξετάσεις.  = Although he studied a lot, in the end, he did not pass the exam.

You would never use "επιτέλους" here.
