Can you explain when do we keep and when do we ommit the "ν" from the articles?

The article has a trailing “ν” when the following word starts with :
a vowel
the consonants κ, π or τ
a consonant digraph that contains one of the above consonants (for example γκ, μπ).

την ημέρα
την Τετάρτη

την Κυριακή

το φόβο
τη μέρα
τη ζωή
