Both are adjectives:

Διαφορετικός /-ή /-ό = different, dissimilar

Διάφοροι /-ες /-α (plural)* = various

*We mostly use it in plural. In singular (διάφορος -η -ο + genitive), its meaning is similar to διαφορετικός -ή -ό (από + accusative), i.d. different, but this use is not very common anymore.

e.g.

Πήγαμε σε διάφορα μέρη = we went to various places (which could be different or not)

Πήγαμε σε διάφορα και διαφορετικά μέρη = we went to various and different places
