για δες

It was in my Greek textbook just before a table with some new vocabulary.  What does it mean?

"Δες" (look) is the imperative form, singular, second person of "βλέπω" (I look, I am looking).

"Για δες" is an expression we use, it gives more emphasis, it draws the attention more, but it still means the same :  look.
