Difference between άσε and άφησε?

For the phrase, "Let me do it", I've learned "άφησε με να το κάνω".  But Google says, "άσε με να το κάνω".  What is the difference?  Thank you!

Both phrases are correct.

"άσε" is just a shorter form of the word "άφησε", mainly used in oral speech.

Another example of shorter form is "πήγαινε" and "πάνε" (they both mean "go").
