αποθώ and σπρώχνω, same meaning?

What is the difference between αποθώ and σπρώχνω please?  Do they mean the same thing?

Hello

"απωθώ" means "repel", "fight",  "force to leave" not necessarily with a physical movement.

Example:

Αυτή η ουσία απωθεί τα έντομα. = This substance repels the insects.

"σπρώχνω" means "push", "shove"

Example:

Έσπρωξε την καρέκλα στην άκρη = He shoved the chair to the side.
