Hi

The symbols for N and R are the same in ancient and modern Greek.

N:       Capital Case: Ν    Lower Case:  ν

R:       Capital Case: Ρ     Lower Case: ρ

Examples:      

Ancient Greek:          Νάξος (a Greek island)           νεανίας (= young man)

                                  Ρέα  (name of a goddess)       ράβδος  (=stick)

Modern Greek:         Νίκος (=Nick)                          νέος (= young)

                                 Ρένα (a woman name)             ρήτορας (= orator)
